snatched from the trees of the tropical rainforest by torrential rains those seeds fall by the thousands into the rivers and are carried to the ocean. Most of them sink and are lost but some are carried by the streams and can drift for years before ending up on the distant Florida beaches. Even after such a long journey they usually retain their germinating power. That's why they are said to bring luck and longevity to the one who found them.

The plant that produces these marbles is an aggressive and thorny
schrub that can be used as a natural border to keep trespassers out !But
the seeds are beautiful with faint concentric rings encircling them.
